that is simply not true. ethanol will not attract water out of the atmosphere
Well if it's not attracting water out of the atmosphere, enlighten us where it's coming from. I'm sure it's not coming from the garden hose. - JacksonsExplorer"The ethanol in gasoline is very hygroscopic. It actually attracts moisture out of the atmosphere. So why do so many put Stabil in the fuel tank for storage. Even on an injected motor home. Or people commonly recommend draining the fuel if it has not run for a year.pianotuna wrote:

Fuel injection doesn't need to mess about with propane as there are no jets to clog. Had a 25hp EFI Outboard and fuel issues were a non-issue as there was no carb to gum up. Propane options are mostly to solve carb issues.
Mostly....because that's what grandpappy taught them to do.
Of course, fuel can degrade given enough time...but that's a separate issue from the carb/injectors getting gummed up. - BobboExplorer III

Because unless you go to the trouble to find, and expense to buy, ethanol free gasoline, the gas has other failings. The ethanol in gasoline is very hygroscopic. It actually attracts moisture out of the atmosphere. Over time, a problematic amount of water can accumulate. The additives also help with moisture in the gas.
The only time gasoline entered the fuel system of anything of mine other than an automobile was when I had my Class C and the generator pulled fuel from the motorhome fuel tank. I only buy ethanol free for lawn equipment or generators. And, even then, I always add Seafoam to it. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerError
- jjrbusExplorerI would be happy if Honda came back out with the EV4010 or 6010. I sold a 4010 with an RV 12 years ago and been kicking myself ever since!

Let it be out for awhile & others can find the bugs in it & deal with the warranty.

Just changing screen name to Not2oldman, would add 10 lbs more capability. - valhalla360Navigator

The weight isn't really a big deal one way or the other. Currently have a Yamaha 2400 that weighs in around 70lb but peak is well above 2400w, so this is only bringing it down by 12lb. It's not going to make a big difference either way.
Fuel injection is a game changer in my mind but the question is the cost being a honda, I would be shocked if it comes in under $2k and there are a lot of great options for half that.
