After a lot of Medical problems,finally DW and I feel as though We can get back to traveling in our RV. The tires are getting some age on them and We have been considering replacing them. I have never experienced the frustration I have when talking to dealers about tires. I need six tires,The tires I have now are Goodyear 295/80/22.5. I know they are expensive but if you gotta have 'Em, you gotta have 'em. But, I have tried several places and they all have the same him haw answer, I can only get two of them , or I can only get 4 of them. Is there something going on in the tire business that I am unaware of?

Have you searched online? You can get them for a good price and have them delivered to a local shop for install. America's tires matched the Internet price after I called them.

No matter who you get them from be sure you tell them you want them mfg in either the U.S.A. or Canada and ALL of them are to be within 6 mts of the org mfg date. and ALL 6 have the same tread pattern.just my 2cents worth And yes they can be ordered with these stipulations

I have found some Atlas tires that are supposed to be the same as the ones I have now. Anyone know about Atlas?The atlas are over $200.00 less.

Yep, its a tough life finding 6 tires for a Motor Home.

Bottom line has already ben published above - They need to be close in age and as 'young' as you can get. Be sure to be at the dealer when the new ones come off the truck. I have known times when dealers purposely mounted tires with the date code facing IN so it was unreadable. Some of these guys are slime balls. My rule of thumb is to buy tires that DO NOT say made in China, tires that are less than 6 months old, and tires that match date codes for all 6 units.

I would suggest going to a truck tire dealer. They will have several tire makers to choose from and should be able to get you what you want. I have heard that Goodyear tires can be difficult to find. I have new Kuhmo's on my motorhome. Only about 500 miles so far but I am happy with them. I have not heard of Atlas tires on motorhomes.

I'll add my two cents. I have seen on-line sellers, such as the Tire Rack, sell tires many YEARS old as new. If you buy on-line be SURE they agree on age PER DOT CODE.

IMHO all tires on any one axle should match. No need for all 6 to match. In fact on my sports car I prefer different tires front and rear, I get better handling.

Though some folks will argue it is not required the front and rear tires be "Exact Twins" of each other.. Only that right and left be twined.

So get two (Front) first, then 4 (rear) later.

(Or do it the other way around but I'd want my best tires on the front)

Also, where in SC are you... If you are near the Upstate area I know someone who knows someone as they Say.. I can send him a message.

However if you are near the coast.. Well... Long long drive.

We bought B F Goodrich ST230's Load range H, for our '04 Country Coach over 40,000 miles ago and they are so much better than the Toyos we had before. B F Goodrich tires are made in America and owned by Michelin. They are cheaper than Michelins. They were recommended by Pat at Pro Tire in Denton TX.
