Unlabeled switch in 2013 Tuscany 40EX

We just purchased a used 2013 Tuscany. There is an unlabeled switch at the bottom of a panel inside the entry door. There is power to it and the wire runs into the floor. Does anyone have a 2013 Tuscany that may know what this switch might power?

So far I have not been able to identify what turns on when the switch is ON. I have different switches for steps, step cover, main awning, door awning, compartment lights, ceiling lights, entry lights and outside lights (includes awning and exterior lighting).

I leave the switch in the OFF position and have not noticed anything missing the few times we have been out.

I will check to see if the awning has another circuit for auxiliary features the next time we go out.

The cigar goes to DutchmanSport it does power leds along the awning tube. Thanks to all
  • Is your awning a Dometic electric awning? If so, it might be a switch to the awning accessories. Yea, it took me a while to figure out what the mystery switch in my panel went too. If you see a track on your awning roller or one of your awning arms, its for the accessories to snap into. The switch activates everything attached to that track.

But then, if you don't have one, then I'm clueless what the switch might go to.

Here's an internet photo and my camper below that:

  • Does it possibly control whether automatic steps retract every time the door is closed or stay extended all the time?
  • I don't have that coach but a few possibilities comes to mind.

As noted by DrewE, it's possibly the automatic step switch. If not that, it could possibly be a Battery Disconnect, or an outside light switch (and perhaps if that's not working a bulb could be out), or I think some coaches have a cargo light master switch inside the door. Those are my ideas anyways.
  • I have an unlabled switch by the front door that turns on a toe-kick light in the bathroom. You just never know what the designers were thinking.

...or if the designers were thinking. :B

Another possibility for this mystery switch: it might control lights in outside storage compartments. I have a master switch for such lights on my class C (as well as the individual switches wired into each light). Coachmen was kind enough to label the switches by the door fairly well so I didn't have the fun of guessing what controls what.

What happens when you turn it on/off? I like the awning arm accessories.
  • Of worst comes to worst, borrow a tone generator and trace the line. Makes sure you disconnect all electrical power sources (battery & shore power) before you start sweeping with the probe.
