Had a similar situation with my 98 Dakota. Made the mistake of taking it to the dealer for repairs & they claimed it was a bad PCM. Long story short, 3-PCM's later (they claimed all were defective) & a couple of sensors, I still had the same problem. Took it elsewhere & within 3-hours of dropping it off, they called me and said it was a bad fuel pump.
