We have it in ours and had the same concerns you seem to. We really disliked it. I even called the manufacturer to see if the recharge should take so long. It just took us two or three trips to get used to it and now we are very glad we have it. It was just something new and we had to get used to it. Ours did not have a sprayer, but we had one added to make it even better. Wanted to add that we don't flush ours at night so it does not have to recharge.
