ventless or vented washer dryer combo?

dealer says new technology makes ventless the way to go. I want the best equipment regardless. Any suggestions welcome.

Read the comments above, or go to Splendide web site and read how non vented units work.

  • If BB TX is right it looks like ventless may = more $ and more stuff to fail.
  • Vented is the only way to go, IMHO. This dealer must have a supply of ventless units he needs to sell.

I would only use a ventless unit if I absolutely had zero way to use a vented unit and even then I would probably not get it and use laundromats.
  • The unvented units DO NOT put moisture inside the RV. Read up on how they actually work and you will find that they are sealed units that use a process to convert the moisture the a vapor, use cold water to condense it back to a liquid, and then drain it.

But. The unvented units do use a lot more water due to the condensing cycle. And they take longer to dry the clothes.

Vented dry better and use less water. There is not any moisture from a non vented one.
  • I just read the title of your post and thought immediately .... "humidity". As stated above, "humidity" and RV are a terrible mix. You want it vented outside. All the moisture has to go somewhere.
  • Sorry, ventless is not the way to go. Ventless driers condense the moisture while the cloths are drying and dumps the water in the grey tank! Go with a vented stackable washer drier set you'll be much happier.
  • Humidity is a killer inside any RV, if we were to put one in I would want it vented so all that humidity goes outside, or else I would have a medium to large dehumidifier very close by to suck up the humidity that the wet clothes are giving off.
