I wonder how much H2O vapor is slowly escaping out of your battery's one-way valve(s) from too-high a float voltage being on the battery day after day? Maybe some, maybe none. Hard to tell how much vapor pressure builds up before the valve opens a bit here and there ... especially in Mexican heat when 13.75 volts has even a more of a dramatic effect on battery chemistry than at colder average temperatures.
