Walmart has new auto battery maker
I have used their Maxx batteries for the good warranty and adequate quality for years. Just went in to replace one of my truck batteries under warranty (GP 65, 850 CCA) and they gave me a 750 replace...

Yeah. I considered that but I will able to monitor them on local driving until summer, when I will replace both. about 70 degrees today. The 750 was free and available today. The old one had a dead cell. And the remaining 850 is probably about a 750 by now. We'll see.
And FWIW, the new battery was made in S. Korea, while the one year old one says it was distributed by Clarios and I don't see country of origin. That all indicates a new manufacturer vs a name change. But I just posted what I was told by Walmart manager in automotive.
