Wanted, Wired Remote Controlled 120v light Switch

What are you trying to switch? That will determine the size of the relay you need.
If you are talking about a few hundred watts, Radio Shack still carries what you need. Other than that, All Electronics carries the relays you would need, along with a simple wall wort power supply to switch it. Just remember that 100' is actually 200' of round trip control wire, so size appropriately. A typical coil of a small relay might draw around 50-100ma.. Personally I would choose 24vac for control.

door bells and home heating controls are 28v

look for a 28v door bell/ a/c transfomer and get a home heating relay 28vac coil

much easier to find nd more reliable at 100ft than 12vdc

1 transformer, 1 relay, i used cat telephone wire and it works great!

I'm using the XTBR X10 Transmit Booster / Repeater
with reasonably good success to control outbuilding lights to about 200' away. I'm switching CFLs, and without the booster I could sometimes turn them on remotely, and never turn them off. The list of "cons" in my situation are:

1) I have to have the booster plugged into the correct leg of the 240 volt service.
2) About 25% of the time I have to send a second 'off' command.
3) The kit was a bit hairy to build. I ended up with a couple of subtle solder bridges that were difficult to find.

It works the same in all weather conditions and I consider the problem solved.

Thanks, but I cannot find acceptable reviews on any of those, at even a 50 ft distance, let alone 100.
