Check the hose end that replaces the disposable fitting. What happens is the pin on the Weber regulator is to short and doesn't depress the schader valve in hose enough to release the gas from the hose fitting.This happens on both the generic and weber hoses. I used a tire schrader valve tool and removed the valve completely to eliminate this issue. Unfortunate but Weber would not let me talk to engineering and only their bubbly customer service rep spewing responses from a trouble shooting flow chart about opening the valve slowly and sequence blah blah stuff was as far as they would go.
