weekend warrior power surging

Question

hey guys i have an 03 weekend warrior i have had for about a year.  i have been having a problem with power every once and a while.  when i am camping at least once a day my whole trailer lighting surges for less then a minute and then it is fine again.  i am clueless on what it could be.  anyone have any ideas?

If it's the 12V lighting doing that then it's the classic sign of a converter going bad. First check your battery to make sure it isn't shorting internally and very low on water.

Test battery and then test output of converter. If it's not close to rated output, replace it. Mine just surged in 1 minute cycles and died this past summer.

Have the batteries load tested by a auto store so that you know they are not part of the problem.

They are 6 volt batteries. It did it with the batteries I had before too. When it plugged into power and also with generator.

Is it only happening with 12v lighting, or 120v as well??
