No set of holes on this stuff is normally so perfect that it has no slop to allow for slight variations in alignment, from surface dings to rust, you always want a little wiggle room. - suprzExplorerThe hitch is on the rv and the pin fits every other attachment i have, cargo baskets, motorcycle carrier, etc.. I am building a custom kayak carrier, and the pin, and other pins i have do not fit into the 5/8th hole i drilled into the square tubing
- LynnmorExplorerIt should be 5/8", either the hole is messed up or you bought a cheap pin that isn't to specification. Try the pin separately in the receiver and the shank if you haven't done that already.
