How many hrs on the gen ?
There is only one reason to ever replace a carb, and that is if it is wore out.
And wore out meaning throttle shafts and bores worn and sucking air from just too many hrs.
Otherwise I don't of anything to be gained from replacing a carb that has been properly cleaned and adjusted.
Yes, I was in the business for many years.
B-12 was very popular in the 60s and 70s for freeing up automatic chokes that had varnished up from the bad leaded gasoline in those days, and it worked instantly. W/ todays much better gasoline, we do not have near the varnishing problem anymore, so the top notch cleaners are not as popular today.
