  • Excursions were the king of SUV'S. I still own two of them a 7.3 and a V-10. Runner up the 8.1 Burb. If GM ever put a Duramax in a heavy duty Burb with decent brakes and a real hitch it would have dethroned the king.

That’s a keeper! It looks like the 6.0L badge on the door, though.....:h

    They didnt make a 6.0 in 2000

You cannot tell the year by the picture, but you can see a 6.0 emblem in the picture. Something is rotten in Denmark!

Great rig! Probably the second best towing SUV available.

Curious as to what is the best? In my opinion, there are only four "True" towing SUV's
    8.1 gmc suburban
    7.3 excursion
    6.0 bullet proofed excursion
    v10 Excursion

I bought a 2003 V10 4.30 in 2010. Wanted the 7.3 but could not justify the $25,000 they were getting for one with 150,000 on the odometer. Picked mine up for $10,000 with 78,000 miles on it when gas was just over $4 per gallon.

Would like to hear what you had to give for that 2000 7.3. That looks like a great rig!

I had to adjust your list to 3. The 6.0 would be eliminated from my list. I guess I don't believe in bullet proofing...LOL
Oddly enough the photo of the X shown appears to have 6.0 badging
