- K_CharlesExplorerMy '04 is only an Eddie Bauer, and it's gas not diesel but I paid $16,000 for it 8 years ago. I put 110,000 since I got it with almost no trouble.
The price sounds high to me - FlashmanExplorer IIBut its a Ford and not a 6.0 or 6.4 - If you gotta have a Ford your choices are slim.

I was looking or an 8.1 Burb three years ago when I bought my boat. I remember coming across an Ex similar to the one above, at an equally stupid price.
Their logic was "a full size SUV goes for $75k new now". But the new ones have SOOOO many more options.
Why would you pay $32k for a 16 year old vehicle (supercars not withstanding) is beyond me.
And the 7.3 may have been a very good engine in it's time, but it is so dated now. What did that one have, 275 HP and 460 TQ? - LwiddisExplorer IISUV 16 years old holds no magic for me.
- Ron3rdExplorer IIIBTW, 90K miles is low mileage for that rig.
- dodge_guyExplorer IIIt would have to drive like a brand new truck! My buddy has an 05 Eddie Bauer V-10 with 40k that he may be selling. Probably get that for $20k it’s never seen winter and only occasional rain on a trip, it was a dedicated tow vehicle!
You would really have to love the 7.3 to pay that kind of money. - intheburbsExplorer

FIFY. While I wouldn't use the word "legendary," the 7.3 is basically a medium-duty truck engine that's probably good for 400k or 500k miles. Only downside is the stupid-heavy engine kills your payload rating.
The Limited was the top-of-the-line trim level, looks like it's in great shape, I'd say the price is only slightly high. $29k-$30k seems about right to me. - SidecarFlipExplorer III

Not really, not around here.
It's worth about 21, maybe 22 maximum.
I have a '97 F350 4 door diesel 4wd in pristine condition and I've been offered 20 cash. Not for sale at any price.
I'd want to see all the service records right away and make sure all the recalls were done and only then would I consider 21 or 22. - Ron3rdExplorer IIIDiesel excursions are very rare, thus the price
- mich800ExplorerThat is as clean a 2002 you will find. Yes, crazy asking price. I see it is for sale by a dealer. I bet they stole that on trade in trying to triple their cost.
