My friend had a 6.4. Spent a lot of money fixing stuff, eventually dumped it when he got hit with ANOTHER expensive bill, bought a 2016 F350 with the 6.7.
There is a reason that the 6.4 is significantly cheaper than other diesel options. I would recommend a much older or newer Ford, a GM or Ram instead of the 6.0 or 6.4 if it was my money being spent.
Too much trouble with that engine, too much cost to get them moderately reliable...
