Agreed.... Nor does my cousin who is a diesel tech that used to work in the Ford shop. Having said that a friend at work has an 09 6.4 with over 250k miles and the engine hasn't been touched to date except for a idler pulley, but he mostly drives highway miles which I believe has kept the emissions systems healthy. And he's not the type to maintain good maintenance since he had the transmission go out at ~250k miles that still had the factory transmission oil in it.
What's also very telling as well is Fish doesn't recommend any diesel powered truck with a DPF that doesn't have DEF as the 6.7 cummins has had its issues and to a lesser degree the Duramax.
