Ah, good to know about the sensors getting gummed up. Any guidance on the best way to clean. I don't really see access to the black tank, but have flushed a couple times. Might root around more thoroughly and see if i can find an access panel to where the sensors are located. If it cant be fixed, then it just is what it is, but would be nice to be able to check it via the panel.
Yea, fresh tank is empty and i have hooked up to a potable water hose from my house (well water) running through a filter to the city water source, but upon buying the camper i sanitized and flushed the potable water tank. There is unfortunately some debris in the tank from past users, i assume putting a water hose on the ground and then into the tank, which i am trying to figure out how to flush out. The PEX plumbing runs to a little push valve drain prior to the pump, which when i activate drains a lot more slowly than the same style in-line drains after the pump, prompting me to speculate that there is dirt / debris in the pipe going from the fresh tank to the pump. Haven't gotten around to fiddling with it to see if i can disassemble and clean out. All of that is empty atm though as its unneeded.
Yea, i am running into grey water storage tank issues at the moment with guests. Right now, we have bio-degradable soap and shampoo, so grey water im just flushing into the brush, as its mostly clean. The black water, i have a roller storage tank, and i fill it up and bring to the side of my house where my outdoor septic inlet is and draining it into the septic tank. Its a bit of a pain, but im working on getting the process down and what tools i need to make it faster, luckily, this fills a lot slower than the grey water so far. Communication wise, I am just letting guests know up front about the holding tanks and asking them to be sparing with water. Still working out the kinks on all this as its pretty new and campers are a bit complicated. But also, the goal is for the camper to have paid for itself in a year or two, which seems feasible, so a bit of elbow grease isn't a terrible trade off.
Appreciate the insights so far!
