Yes, RAM/Cummins still uses the CP3 injection pump, while Ford and GM are using the CP4-2 injection pump. VW uses the CP4-1 with similar issues.
Then along came all those that will say they have never had an issue, which is good, as the repair bill is 10-12K. If this continues to be pushed off(Ford) to one insurance policy, then rates are going to sky rocket!
I believe the RAM 1500 ecodiesel uses the CP4 injection pump, along with the new 5L Cummins in the Nissan.
