Airlift bags have an internal jounce so you can completely air down the bags when not needed. The ones that do not have a jounce require about 5 PSI minimum to keep the bags from rubbing through themselves.
Some mounting locations replace the axle bump stop on the frame and sit between the frame and axle. Others mount to the outboard side of the frame and mount over the springs. The latter gives wider support of the axle and tends to not sway as much as ones that sit farther inboard.
