Well one thing is the 2013 will be one of the shortest model years in history, 2014 order date is set for June for delivery in August IIRC. It will be a collectors item like a rare coin :B
My 98 12 Valve is a rare truck only about a 4 month run. 1/1/98 the 24 valve came out. - 45RicochetExplorer

We'll know the hurt locker test soon enough.
My guess is Ram will bring up the rear like the previous one, the one before that, and every other test since the beginning....
Your guess's are like your power ball numbers, wrong again :B - itguy08Explorer

58.5" to the top of my tailgate.
Thanks Bionic Man, I believe that was the same height Rick said his was...I swear, I believe that the height from the ground up to top of tail gate is under 58"...Like I said, just looking at it, it doesn't appear to be as high in the back like the last couple of trucks I've owned, including the 07.5 Chevy...seemed like they were "butt high" crew cab, long bed, 4X4 dually's...
Again, speculation on my part, but with the front beefed up, reckon the back end isn't jacked up so high now? GOT TO GET A 5er hitch to see.... - Bionic_ManExplorer58.5" to the top of my tailgate.
- NC_HaulerExplorergoofy location for the Sirius radio antennae location to be sure...Other than the grille, the LED rear lights, LED signal lights, the body looks pretty much the same as the 12'. I guess if you see a 13' coming at you, you'd be able to tell by the projector head lights. from behind, it would probably be the LED tail lights.
Rick, I could be wrong, sure wouldn't be the first time, but I swear the truck seems to set "more level" than the 10 or 12 where the tail end was higher in the air..If I'd been thinking, I'd measured the 12 from the ground up..even the 10 was the same height as the 12'...I had the 17" tires on both trucks. Also have the 17" tries on this truck also.
Anyone out there able to tell us with a 10' or 12' Dodge/Ram 3500HD CC/LB/4X4, what the height is from the ground to the top of the tailgate?
Other than that, tailgate, badging pretty much the same...The cummins logo has "turbo diesel" in red letters...
love the way they do the rear fenders, smooth lines...looks good. - 45RicochetExplorer

How could you tell if it was a 2013 Ram 2500HD? Just curious.
Or which transmission it had. You lose 20 ponies with the 68 and 35 with the hand shaker. Torque goes from 850 down to 800 with the 68 and 660 with the hand shaker. Just me but my days of rolling the gears is gone with that much of a power loss :M
Jim is there any noticeable body difference between the 12 and 13?
Well besides the Antenna location :W - NC_HaulerExplorer

I do notice the ovals and ties have been silent lately, well until Larry showed up :B Where are these guys :H They usuallly show in big numbers on a Ram thread.
I could share my experience with a '13 2500 RAM a few weeks ago to see who could get from a double lane to a single lane from a lighted intersection if that would make this thread more appropriate for you! :B

With Road Rage the way it is today, I'd just let someone in before I pushed someone's button to the point it could cause harm to a family member or myself or someone else. I stopped running other trucks "light to light" and two lane to single lane quiet some years ago, felt an accident or a ticket just wasn't worth it..... - Bionic_ManExplorer

Such a silly statement. Perhaps you and I should run stop light to stop light. I'll take my Porsche, you in your truck. I can guarantee that outcome, and also tell you that it has nothing to do with how the vehicles will perform towing. Keep on trolling fisherman.:R - Happy_ProspectoExplorerI am starting to look at the new Dodge 4500, but does anyone know if you can order one with the Western Style Truck mirrors or am I going to be stuck with the small mirrors.
