That's ok Jim, he does the same thing over at FTE. Someone recently posted there about issues with their 6.7 Ford and how they were thinking of buying a Dodge/Ram. He couldn't wait to slam the Dodge/Ram with all the regular issues he posts here. Maybe the fishing isn't so good so he comes trolling over here :)

That's just it, you WEREN'T thinking....you go out of your way to come on to just about ANY thread dealing with the new 2013 Ram's and commence to doing everything within your power to put the truck down...YOU ARE the ONLY one I've seen spend INORDINATE amounts of time trying to find any thing to be derogatory about a Dodge/Ram.....I mean, you must have no life but to live to go onto a Dodge/Ram thread and have everyone turn against you that is a Ram owner because of your antagonistic post.....
Go over to the Cummins forum, join up, post some threads but put in your signature what you own....
There are quite a few certified Diesel mechanics over there also, some are master mechanics with diesel engines and will enlighten you with some of their experiences with the other diesel brands...
I really don't get it, you seemed like a nice guy, but I got to admit, seeing you go out of your way to post negative post after negative post on a Dodge/Ram truck has me wondering if you don't have anything else to do...I guess at least you picked the one that sells less than any other of the big three and again, finished 3rd. in a race of three...BRAVO.
So Ram finally steps up to the plate trying to compete with the other two and you spend the rest of your life trying to tear it down....sad, very sad.......how about a Yugo???
Oh, and you can alway's block my post if you don't want to read them, or NOT forget something I said, and unlike you, I've not said anything bad about the Chevy or the Ford...
keep up your great research, it'll keep you busy evidently oh.....:R.....back at ya.
Jim,
Not sure why you attact someone when you disagree...:h I kind of enjoyed looking and driving the new trucks. I posted my opinions about the power of these trucks (by the seat of my pants), kicked the tires and reported things others have not reported here. Yes I had some dislikes (the fuel port and DEF port to name one) but there are other attributes that are very nice (seats are very comfortable including both cloth and leather seats). I also tried to get a picture of the new fuel filter setup and to my surprise the 3500 DRW 2wd truck had a protective panel with a door which I suppose was the access port to to fuel filter which I thought was a very good job of protecting the plastic fuel filter housing. We've seen one Ford that a rock busted the plastic filter housing and left the guy stranded.
If you don't like what I report feel free to add me to your block list.
And again I enjoyed kicking the tires and talking to a couple of Cummins/RAM techs about there strengths/weaknesses and the RAM trucks as a hole. It was much better and informative than what you get on a internet forum. :W
Not attacking you, all I see from you is you GOING OUT OF YOUR WAY, to post on threads where Ram/Dodge owners are talking about something and here you come to debate, take pictures, give "hear say" examples of any and everything that could or might be wrong with them....I really don't get it....I've driven a pile of Chevy's and test drove dozens of Fords, I know what they'll do from what I've read from owners, pros and con's, but never go onto a thread where Ford owners are talking about their trucks....Chevy's, yeah, if it's pertinent to one I've owned, though I know you don't want to hear that:R...I'm just puzzled as to why you seem to think you HAVE to post negative post after negative post to go after Dodge/Ram owners ...it's like you live to do it...I've seen enough of your post to state that. I've not said anything negative about Ford's or GM/Chevy's, (except for the fact that Ford never wanted me to own one...never could work a deal...)....
I'd like to know how a "couple of "Cummins/Ram Tech's" could know THAT much about this truck when it hasn't even been out that long, at least the rebuilt 2013 3500 Dually hasn't been...but, tis a moot point with you....I'm sure you dig deep and hard enough, spend more time "kicking the tires" and talk to the right people, you'll be able to give us even more negative reports on the "new Ram trucks"...glad you have that much time on your hands.....I don't....I'll glean from you to some extend, ie, that you detest and abhor Dodge/Ram trucks and there is no good to them.....I keep that perspective about you knowing you won't change from all I've read from you, it'll be ok....I've come to expect it as have most other Dodge/Ram owners in here expect of you....If it makes your life happier, I'm glad for you....me, I'll not talk trash about any of them or go trying to dig up trash on them because it could come back to haunt one, in one way or the other....
thank you for all your "value added" threads on the short comings of the Ram trucks, I would imagine it's appreciated by some others..........
oh, I have no one on my block list....glad you liked the protective cover over the fuel filter. - larry_barnhartExplorerWith all the back and forth stories of who has the best truck it makes me happy to own what we have and enjoy driving it. All 3 brands are better than our 05 and we could buy anything to replace it if (needed) Happy is a good thing. One time on this forum a fella responded with this comment.
Don't frown because it is over but smile because it happened

Are we really known now as the "thread killer" Troy? OBTW I didn't start this thread and your suggestions are, well not on the top of my list. And off subject but Mother's does make a chrome/clad wheel cleaner. Might give it a try, works great on my DW's FX 50. OBTW I thought it was your BIL who worked on Dodge and Ford dealerships ??????????????? This is starting to get interesting with your cousin now in the mix :E No link at this time....
Pay attention Rick...
My cousin is the diesel tech... Originally a Ford diesel tech and now works on Cummins diesels too.
My BIL was the guy who owned a 09 Dodge RAM with the 6.7 Cummins and unloaded that soot clogging turd (Starting to sound familiar). He currently owns a 07 Dodge DRW with a 5.9 Cummins.
My parent's own a Duramax/Allison like NC used to own. (How could one forget). :R
And there's a 5.9 Cummins and a 7.3 Powerstroke in the mix as well... "And a partridge in a pear tree"... :R
I spoke about these two several times so I'm not sure why your trying to spin the story.
BTW... I use the Mother's cleaner you referred to on my aluminum boat trailer. I use it because of the acid it contains to removes the oxidation that the salt water creates. Works great on making the aluminum look like new! :B
Wow... And I thought a few were interested in the 3500 Spring pack! What was I thinking! :h
Edit:
I went back to look up a thread before Ricks spins the story:

Go ask the salesperson to show you where the air bag sensors for the air bags if you crash ( not behind the front bumper as you think)
Never really gave it much thought, but the 13's have front and side air impact bags....at least it states so on my truck....
Not the bags thesensors to set them off in a crash
