2014 3500 Duelly driver fender spreading

I had an ODD experience with my 2014 Ram 3500 duelly 1 Ton truck and my Lance 1172. On a recent trip after unloading the camper, I noticed that a rear panel under end of the truck bed had bent, and when I put the tailgate on the rear drivers side fender was out of alignment with the tailgate, but the tailgate did close. My truck is under basic warranty, so it did get pulled back in and panel straightened. Issue is are the campers too heavy for truck beds even on a 3500? It was not driven off road or over rough terrain, and I have had a 2003 ram 3500 that never had this kind of issue. If anyone else has seen this fatigue on truck bed please post. Some are adding more support to the bed frame, and those with 3/4" plywood under rubber mat say they don't have issue. Like to hear from a larger group. (I have a picture of the issue)
