Traded off 2005 fx4 with a 5.4L it pulled our 2001 26' wilderness(8300) qvwr great and I'm sure the new truck will tow it much better but we are thinking about upgrading campers thinking about jayco 29qbs. I don't want to start a lifted truck spin off but.... I am planning on a 4"-6" BDS lift for new truck and 35" tires. I've always had a lifted truck for my tow rig and never had any trouble but this lift will be a little bit bigger than I've had before. So there's the first post what's ya'lls thoughts
As it sits. It is rated to tow 11,100lb. You raise it, and get taller tires. It will lose a lot of that towing capacity. Probably about 1000lb worth.
