What's interesting, is that the "max tow" 1500 4wd 5.3 has a ~100 lb lower rating. Yes, the "max tow pacakge" will be available w/ a 5.3 and 3.73 gearing. Not too shabby...
If you look at the vehicle weight of the max tow, it weighs ~100 lb more than vehicle with out the max tow. So the max tow package adds weight without payload, but increases the GCWR by 1700 lbs.
