Browsing through the electronic copy of the owners manual for the 2014 RAM trucks, I discovered something else that may contribute to the Power Wagon's lower tow rating:
- It comes equipped with load range "D" tires instead of the load range "E" the other 2500s come with. I bet that means lowered GAWRs.
- The GVWR is only 8510# as well. My 2014 2500 Laramie (non - PW version) GVWR is 10,000#.
Pretty substantial differences in the ratings.
