Thank you all for your input! Well I will muddy the waters a bit. I have been leery of a diesel pickup after reading all of the horror stories. I met with our friend who is the GM at the RV dealer. He has a 2013 F350 w/6.7 liter diesel He has been very pleased with it. Has 110,000 miles on it-mostly towing miles. It has been bullet-proof. He still has his 2008 F450 6.4 liter dually that now has a new engine after the original blew up at 150,000 miles (had numerous issues up to that point). Anyway, seems like Ford has stepped up it's game with the 6.7.
So with that being said, what are your thoughts of a F350 single axle, 6.7 liter diesel w/3.11 gear, super cab w/short bed? Max towing weight of the 5th wheel will be approximately 14,000-guessing pin around 2800 lbs?
Thanks.
