2015 Ford F350 6.2l 4.30 question

Hello,

Can someone tell me the cargo capacity and towing capacity for this set up with a 5th wheel for both an 8' and 6.5' bed? I've found the chart but not sure exactly which set on numbers correspond with these set ups.

Thanks.

The one pickuptrucks.com tested was a 2015 xlt crew cab 4x4. They calculated the payload to be 2880#. That was a 6.5' box. A longbox would be less as the truck is at the class max of 10k# GVWR.

All other things being equal, a longbed will have a lower tow rating than a shortbed truck.

The 10k GVWR on the F 350 actually reduces the legal payload. :h to avoid certain license/taxes in some states I suppose. Without it the truck you describe should have 3800 lb cargo, and 12500 tow rating these are of course just approximate guesses depending on configuration, options, trim level etc.

  • The cargo capacity is specific to your truck, and is located on the tire information sticker on the door frame. The max towing figures range from 15000 to 16700 lbs depending on cab options, 4x4, and rear wheels (single or duals). The bed lengths aparently do not directly affect max towing capacity other than the GCWR.
