Yeah, just cause you see that nice big tow rating and payload number on a site like that does not mean that's what the rig you look at is going to have those numbers too...
The best you can do is LOOK at the actual sticker of the rig you are interested in and that's what it's payload is... ;)
As far as 'not trusting dealers', well, that's up to the individual dealer of course, but you have to KNOW what you are buying in the first place too... ;)
How I 'test' a sales person/dealer is KNOWING some facts about a rig and asking them about it and see how they answer... That pretty much tells you all you need to know.. Answer correct, and I'll talk to you.. Give me a BS answer, well thanks for your time, but I'll have to pass on that one...
If you wanna tow, you better know what you are buying.. ;)
