Although the Ford body has not changed much, there have been changes to just about everything else since the body was introduced. You just have look deeper than the skin and styling on the Ford. I don't like change for just the sake of change, so this never bothered me. When I owned Mazda pickups, they also had long runs on the same body style which never bothered me.

Eighteen model years is certainly long enough, and I cannot remember any truck go that long with the same cab and basic design.

My F250 is almost 13 years old, and is low mileage @ 124K. I had the pickup box dents (from utility trailer) and scratches fixed and repainted last week. Hopefully it'll go another 13 years with the 7.3 motor.

Owning a diesel for the long run is where the value comes in.

thanks 45, my 2012 had trouble with my old TH which was about 21k and the new one is 24k. It is fine on the flats but going up long grades was not much fun in the rockies.

What gear ratio is the 12?

For a heavy of RV as you have the RAM with the factory puck system and a B&W hitch will give you 25K towing and 6,250# pin weight. The new RAM's are SAE J2807 rated at a combined 37,900#

Your pin weight will require bags so why not have something that will set level up to max rear axle rating all by it's self?

I had a 11 HO RAM Dually basically the same as your truck and now have a 15 RAM Dually LongHorn with rear air and Aisin trans. The old truck was good no problem but the 15 is really amazing!!!!

Curious what you would want to look at the Fords?

I haven't heard of any changes for the 2016 MY but I heard from a reliable source that the 2017 MY might break the 1000ft/lb mark.

I believe your from Texas and if so you might check Ford AutoNation in Katy to see if they have the DRW truck your looking for.
