More internet speculation. It is not a "violation of the law" to overload your vehicle. The only violations would be exceeding your tire weights or exceeding your registration weight. If you register it to 12K lbs and put E rated tires that are rated to handle 3000 lbs each, you are perfectly LEGAL.
Safety is another issue.
Negligence in a civil trial is another issue.
I'm not going to get back on my soapbox about all that again... but I am getting tired of the "internet lawyers" spouting off about legality issues when it is painfully obvious they don't know to what they speak...
