Yes it is very odd the way RAM does the ratings. My '14 RAM 2500 wtih CC and 8' bed is the same; GVWR of 10K with with GAWR of 6000 front and 6500 Rear. So the totals for axles is 2500lbs over the GVWR. The 3500 SRW has a GVWR of 12,300.
I think the 2500 and 3500SRW tires, frames and axles are the same. Outside of springs I don't really know what else would be different?!?!? :h
