I read somewhere on the internet that the coil suspension is further inboard on the axle than a leaf suspension. That could result in more body roll, as more weight could be "outside" of the suspension. Obviously, this must be true or they wouldn't allow it on the internet. I wonder if that is partially to blame...?
Ram rates the coils at 6,500 lbs with the 18" wheels, whereas they rate the leaf springs at 7,000 lbs with the 18" wheels. Not much actually load carrying difference between the two...
