Okay, for that matter, the 2500 has bump stops outside of the coils. If you were to add air bags or timbrens in that location it would give you additional support further outside the center line and decrease the body roll. In that scenario you would effectively give you the same load bearing as the 3500.
I just ordered timbrens this past Sunday and they are suppose to arrive today. I plan to install them tonight because I'll possibly be towing a triple-axle enclosed gooseneck trailer this weekend. I guess we'll find out!!

Yea, I don't really have a clue. I bought mine used, so I got what the previous owner bought... a 3/4 ton. Still, I've got 2500 lbs of registered payload, plenty for my foreseeable future. I plan to have my current bumper pull for 10+ more years.
