Got my Timbrens installed tonight. Everything was really simple and the huge plate on the axle definitely shows RAM intended for airbags to be installed.
I had to leave out the Timbren spacers and only installed the units. Without the spacers I have about 3/4" gap between the rubber and the axle plate. If I would have used the spacers it would have had constant contact. I want to use the Timbrens only for heavy load conditions since the coil spring ride is so nice.
I'd rather have the system sag a little and compress the coils before I contact the Timbrens for the extra load bearing. I'm curious to tow a heavy load to see how much the Timbrens help stability.
