I have always been a 1 ton guy until I took the 2016 3500 for a test drive. It rode so rough after 2 miles on the expressway I asked the salesman for the shortest way back to the dealership. He laughed and said I made it farther then most. The rear leaf springs are terrible on an empty truck. I purchased the 2500 and it is better but still not great.
What were the air pressures set to? Most likely 80 in the rear.
