After all is said and done, I'm out the door at $39,500.

Thats about what it sold for new. But with the high demand for trucks its probably an OK price.

About 7 weeks ago, I bought a used, 2016, Ram 3500, diesel, for $37,800. It is a 2wd, crewcab, long bed, single rear wheel, 5th wheel prep with puck system, has every option known to man, and had 58,800 miles on it. Similar dual wheel models were running about a thousand more. most similar 4wd models were running about two thousand more, if you could even find one. This is in north Texas, where we have a LOT of used diesel pickups. Prices might run higher in your area.

You can get a new 2018 in the mid 40's at high volume dealers.
