- nevadanickExplorerProbably distance between frame rails that makes the puck distance different. No 2 mfg are going to be the same in that respect.
- minnowExplorer...."That's good to hear. Are the pucks spread out like the Ram's or close together like Ford's? I didn't watch the video.
They do look farther apart than the Ford's. Hard to tell but I would say not quite as far apart as the RAM. The front to back spacing appeared to be about the same distance as where the wheel well meets the truck bed..."
If that's the case then we'll have three distinct standards for in bed pucks. What a mess that'll be. Hitch manufacturer's will have a fit! It's just amazing that apparently the competition between the Big 3 is such that they won't even agree on such a simple standardization as to the distance between in bed pucks. - Bigfoot_affairNomad III'd say thats pretty impressive from a six year old platform with no updates to the power train, I think the Ram has had three updates to the power train since 2013. It will be interesting to see what the 2017 Dmax will lay down...
My GM's have been great towing machines and have never given me any issues, I am going to stick with what works for me. - Cummins12V98Explorer III

True Dat Larry:B - 45RicochetExplorerThe used Ram we bought back in 2008 for our foreman now has more than a million. It was a 2004 3500 SRW and he paid it off several years ago. Just saw him last week as he moved to North Dakota in need of work. It has been worked hard hauling all kinds of heavy loads. (Lots of logs)
In all fairness, it looked like a construction truck and he said it needed it's fair share of repairs. Mostly front end and clutch's were mentioned :W
Heard him start it up when leaving the restaurant with the turbo back exhaust.... Still sounded like a stud to me. I had a OD photo from 2009 or so but lost it :( Me Again wrote:
