What Sales? It is not on sale yet. It was designed in Australia to meet the US Midsize Pickup marketEngine was factored in for the specific market.
This really annoys you? You will try every red herring you can throw at this thread so as to tor drown out the fact that a US Pickup was designed and engineered outside the US. I have some bad news their is more.:) - ksssExplorer

I think it looks pretty good. It is on Ford’s website now too. It looks better than the GM, Toyota, and Honda smaller trucks.
It would be really nice if there was 48” of width between the wheel wells so you could slide 4x8s in there. Who cares if it hangs out a bit.
Half ton trucks are pretty large. This will have a smaller turning radius which is great for urban environments.
It would be incredible with the 2.7 ecoboost and a ten speed transmission.
I would agree it looks better than the Honda and frankly what doesn't.
As to the other two I think that is pretty subjective. I dont think it looks better than either the Toyota or the GM version but opinons are what they are. They will sell, and if gas goes up, everyones midsize truck boat will rise substantially. They are not putting a lot into this pickup for NA. It is mostly a take it or leave it option list, at least for now. It will be interesting to see how it does compared to the Toyota and GM sales numbers. - We_ll_SeeExplorerI think it looks pretty good. It is on Ford’s website now too. These smaller trucks really do have a niche. They are more capable that the trucks of yore, and can tow and haul like a half ton. But perhaps more importantly for some of us, they can fit in a garage or parking spot with ease. - Bionic_ManExplorer

What I want to know is simple. Can a person of average height reach over the siderails and get stuff out of the bed. If not, I will be looking for an older truck or maybe a flat bed. I will be surprised if I can reach the bottom of the bed though. I have read that Ford is making all of the trucks tall for some reason.
I read some info on the new RAM where they stated they are raising the bedrails for both more space as well as more fuel efficiency. I am sure the other manufactures will do it for the same reason. - valhalla360NavigatorTo get back on track, Ford is doing the same thing the other manufacturers are doing. Making quasi-1/2 ton trucks.
I thought this was Ford's original rational for eliminating the Ranger. It was competing with the F150.
Small pickups are great if you aren't planning to tow more than a utility trailer and only occasionally haul some stuff in the truck bed, so it's silly to bump them up to a quasi-1/2 ton because then it makes more sense to get a 1/2 ton.
My first car was an S-15 back in 1986. Almost got a ranger but price was $200 less. It was a 2.5l 4cycl and really had plenty of power. Even with the larger size the 2.7turbo is overkill for this truck. - GrooverExplorer IIWhat I want to know is simple. SB nothing to with Australia. You are joking ?
Ranger was developed and designed in Australia for a Global market
That market will be 2.8 -3 million vehicles in 2025
That believe it or not includes the US
Read what I said again. I didn't say anything about design. I said sales. So what does a Australian 2.3L EB sales(or lack there of) have anything t do with the American version of the Ranger which is the threads topic? - Here's a Ranger Extended cab version. I have to say this truck looks a lot better than the Chevy/GMC mid size and the Toyota/Nissan trucks as well.
