So why would a Ford guy care about a Cummins gas engine in a RAM truck I can't imagine he would ever buy?
Because I'm interested how Cummins performs with gasoline and assuming it will be turbo charged. We know the EB burns fuel like crazy when towing and wouldn't handle HD work and it's probably safe to say Stelantis' new 3.0 Turbo gas engine will perform the same which would be unacceptable in a HD application. We also know a hybrid would probably be unacceptable in a HD application as well.
So what's next? Cummins turbo charged gas engine?
Why would a turbo charged 6.7 burn less fuel than a 3.0 or 3.5? I’m pretty sure that is exactly why we haven’t seen Ford do it in a 5.0.
I don’t think that turbo charging gassers is the answer to the needs of a HD engine.
Speculation has the 6.7 gas will have a turbo since Cummins says it will have diesel like performance. Also just looked it up and Cummins will release this engine in 2024 so it will be a while. Probably just in time for the Hemi's demise.
Speculation huh? So just like when you were sure a few years ago the new Powerstroke would have 500 HP? Or when the lady at the Cummins factory whispered in a members ear about a brand new emissions system that was eminent? Or a new 8/10 speed that someone else knew was being tested and sure to be launched?
How much have each of them been worth?
That's why I called it what it is... "speculation" and no one was winking and blowing kisses in my ear either at a factory tour.
As for a 500HP 6.7 PSD... The 6.7PSD HO could be the ticket.- Bionic_ManExplorer

Interesting features in the mirrors. But the mirror themselves look kind of small? Fwiw, I’m happy with my mirrors in my 2012. Wish they would have powered food in feature, but the function of them when towing is very good.
Does it come with the ZF8 speed Grit has been promising?
I'm a bit disappointed Ram didn't include the 6.7 cummins gas variants this year.
Why? It is pretty well known that Cummins builds a very good Diesel engine. I don't know much about their capability for gas. And maybe I missed it, but I have yet to see any details about the engine like HP and TQ.
The 6.4 Hemi in the Ram is competitive with the other gassers, especially when it has the 8 speed tranny.

I leave my 15 mirrors UP (ANTLERS) because the spot mirrors work best in that position. My 01 I have towing mirrors and the spots work the same up or down so I run down unless towing.
Personally I really like my 15 mirrors.
x2; I leave my mirrors up too because they suck in the down position. Although they are pretty good like that, the towing mirrors on my 2012 F-150 are much better overall. Bionic Man wrote:

My first ever Ram pickup is my 2022. I was disappointed with the mirrors after having Ford's nice design. Not the end of the world but I always thought the ram mirrors were dorky looking when in the wide setting.
This change is a big improvement.
It sure is ,that was my first big disappointment with my 2014 Ram , the mirrors compared to my previous Ford Superduty .
I'm willing to bet the power extension feature will make these mirrors equivalent or maybe better than Fords mirrors with the LED forwards and reverse lights. I do agree with cummins that the spot mirrors could be larger so perhaps it's a tradeoff between spot mirror size and LED reverse lights.- Bionic_ManExplorerInteresting features in the mirrors.
