235/80-16 ST tires - LT equivalent

That might be a more common size than you think.
A lot of duallys run them.

215/85/16

Go to Americas tire web site and put the size in. You'll get lits of choices

235/85/16 is the next step up. They are 1" taller and that is what i went with. I went the Bridgestone R-250 route and love them....except for one thing! My X-Chocks don't fit anymore! The other common LT sorta equivalent is 245/75/16 which are about the same diameter but a little wider than the 235/80. If I was going to do it over I would go the 245/75 route.

I changed my out from ST235/80/16 Goodyear to LT245/75/16 Toyo HT. would never go back to a ST tire again

Unless you go to a load range G tire you will not have the carrying capacity you had with your ST tires. You need to weigh your trailer loaded like you normally run and see if E rated LT tires will be enough. To answer your question, I have found two LT tires that are equivalent to your St tires. One is the Goodyear G614, and the other is Sailun S637. Both are 14 ply rating (load range G) and can carry 110 PSI.

Your not telling us what load range your current ST235/80-16 tires are or the trailers axle ratings.
Some came as a load range D at 3000 lbs capacity.
Some came as a load range E at 3400-3500 lbs capacity.

Now the LT215/85-16 E someone mentions has 2680 lbs of capacity.

A LT245/75-16 E and the LT235/85-16 E are rated at 3042 lbs capacity.

I would make sure whatever tire you choose has the capacity for your trailers load.

I went with the contenintal vanco , very pleased with them .

ST tires have a much higher load capacity than LT tires of similar sizes. This is the best example available.

LT235/85R16E has a load capacity of 3042# at 80 psi.
ST235/85R16E has a load capacity of 3640# at 80 psi.
