I checked today and @ 55MPH my 6.4 with 3.73 rear end if turning about 3950RPM. From 4-5K really seems to be where the power is at and I can pull my 8500# TT up just about any grade that is straight enough to maintain freeway speed.
I was pleased recently to pull up over Mount Hood in Oregon. The pass peaks out at around 4500ft I think and I still had no problems. I really didn't notice much of the loss in power due to elevation.
I guess I have to keep in mind at 8500# I'm really not anywhere near the max of the truck.
