Just for what it's worth I've been going thru the same debate. I think the 6.4 would work better as the daily driver with my short 5 mile commute but I'm 95% at this point going with the CTD for the better towing and the overall diesel experience. I have no illusions and understand it will likely cost more in the long run, but sometimes you just want what you want.
I don't think you can go wrong either way. They're just different and have their own pluses and minuses.
