Thanks UP, I have one of those Brazilian panels left so that may be what I use. That marine post looks very fashionable, and sturdy, too! The only problem is that it recesses into the floor and that's gonna' be a deal breaker. You've got me thinking, though, there might be a better off-the-shelf solution.
