8 Speed Auto for HD trucks
Apparently, ZF is making an 8 Speed HD trans that can handle 1000 lb-ft. 2020 release date. I see it as the next trans in the Ram 2500 and 3500s. LINK

I don't think that transmission is going to be an option with the Cummins. I'll bet it's gas engine only. I surely love it in my 1500. It will be a great option in the HDs. Much better gear selection than the current Ram 6 speed.
