8 Speed Auto for HD trucks

HAHAHA == pretty soon we'll be spending all our time in the shifting mode, and no time in the driving mode. Can't wait for the announcement:

With the next gen 6.7 CUMMINS having ALL the emissions under the truck the HP and TQ numbers will be much higher. If they can't make the AISIN handle the increases they very well may head this direction.

Time will tell!

6 seems sufficient with the diesel but I guess 8 would be better. Would likely make a bigger difference on the gas trucks.

Would love one of those. The other ZF 8 speeds are great transmissions.

Ford will also be introducing a 10-speed for 2020 model year.
