A Couple Small Issues After Frame Repair Work

Hi Everyone,

I just picked my trailer up from getting the infamous Lippert frame repair done to address frame cracking over the shackles. The overall work the shop did to repair and reinforce everything is top notch, however I have two issues that I have since discovered since picking it up last night

The first issue I have is that my tank monitor is now showing a full fresh water tank even though it's bone dry. It was working before I took it in, so I'm assuming a wire got cut or damaged during the work. Does anyone have any suggestions for some quick troubleshooting?

The second issue is the shop forgot to re-secure the pipe strap supporting the black water dump valve and plumbing. It looks like it was originally spot welded to the frame and they simply forgot to reattach it after fish plating the frame between the front and rear spring shackles on both sides. I think I can fix this, at least temporarily, by using some heavy duty zip ties to secure the pipe and valve to one of the cross braces that run above it. Below is a pic of the loose strap:

I'm guessing both of these issues are going to ultimately require a trip back to the shop to get fixed right, which I'm not looking forward to, as it's across town and it took me 1.5 hours in traffic last night just to make the 30 mile trip home. I might be able to tackle the tank monitor wiring though, but not if I have to drop the underbelly while laying in the gravel.

I want to avoid any drilling through the frame, if possible, especially at this location, since this one of the areas that was cracked and now is fish plated on both sides. Drilling would also be a pain since I would have to go through three layers of steel.

Thanks for the troubleshooting info! The shop did have to work around the bundle of wires for the fresh water tank sensors, so hopefully the short to ground is in the exposed area above the axles and not covered up by the underbelly panel. If it's above the axles, it shouldn't be to difficult to track down and repair.
