Have you checked the source voltage? Nominally it should be 120 vac +/- 5% but often, especially at this time of year, can be much lower. To that you've added the load from your fridge but you can avoid that by running the fridge on gas. Have you tried turning off the converter to eliminate any draw it may also be placing on the system?
