Added drawer to sink cabinet (pix)
I designed a small drawer in the galley sink cabinet for utensils.
The new drawer is the top drawer. It accesses unused space in front of the sink. The drawer front is made from 3/16" luan plywood and panel molding.
Drawer shown opened. I designed it as a full extension drawer for easier access.
This photo shows custom design to enable full extension. Drawer guide and extension block are located off center to fit the space between sinks. Extension block enables guide to remain engaged in the drawer guide rail as the drawer is fully extended. Stop prevents further extension when it engages the back of the cabinet's face frame. Drawer box is shortened because cabinet has an electrical box located in that space.
