I am using a group 31 marine battery in the stock location, 110AH and for the first few years I could go 2 cold nights, shower and use all the (LED) lights I wanted. It's been run completely dead twice and is getting on now and I have to recharge nightly now.
I did see one install where someone had shoehorned 2 Optama yellow batteries into the stock battery box it looked tight and the terminals were facing the door, batteries on their ends. Not a solution I liked.
I have been looking at the under-booth storage area, it would take a custom made battery box (2 singles or a dual won't fit) but you could get 2-6V golf cart batteries in there through the panel on top, wiring could go through a conduit to the water tank area and from there to the isolator, really a pretty easy install. I don't have an oven and have the "child bunk" over the dinette so plenty of storage for lighter items and don't really need the under-booth area.
My latest direction however is putting 2x100w panels on top wired in series with an MPPT controller and using the stock location and a new Group 31 or 29 battery. Really looks to be a better solution overall.
